When you guys didn’t know until today that I’m 4'7 and was born with a physical “disability” /rare joint disorder called Arthrogryposis. During labor my Mom needed a c-section done due to the fact that my legs were crossed in an “Indian sitting” position , not to mention I had curved feet. Doctors literally had to break my legs & feet to get them straight..years of surgery was intense, and I must say..extremely painful. However, I pulled through…From a fixator, to wheelchair, walker, crutches, and now, I just wear braces on each of my legs from the thighs down to my feet. Walking proudly & gracefully..and this goes to the asshole doctors who wanted to give up on me and amputate, or said I would never walk a day in my life.
You’re a survivor, and a fighter, and I’m so glad to have heard your story. Also, you’re so goddamn beautiful!!
A white colleague of mine who constantly complains to my director about my work ethic and attendance said she loved my sun dress and asked where she could get one at for her daughter.
I told her it was one of a kind and that I bought it at a street market in my country (Cuba). She jokingly said she’d buy it from me. I said I’d sale it to her.
Guess who just removed the label off a sun dress I bought from Old Navy 4 years ago on Clarence for $5 and sold for $125.
